Exhibition 2010 Museum Dokkum
Poster for "Centsprenten" an exhibition in 2010 at our local museum.
"Centsprenten" where given to to pupils back in the old days for good behaviour and learning. They where the first comics, so to speak. However, they all showed the view of thinking at the time, which to nowadays believes are not always political correct. These prints where printed on a large scale and where low cost items at the time.
In the balloon you see a son who disgraces his father, by laughing about him behind his back.
