The dancers this afternoon. The musical is about the life of the divine Titus Brandsma.
Titus Brandsma was a catholic priest. He was the founder of the Saint Boniface chapel here in Dokkum.
The priest was also a fierce enemy of the National Democrat Party in the 1930ties and was eventually arrested for his opposition made public in the Catholic press. He was the editor of the Catholic newspaper the time in Nijmegen. After his arrest he was held prisoner in Schevenigen and was transported to Dachau eventually. There he died during a medical experiment due to his bad health.
The scene is the moment when the angels pick up his body and transport his soul to heaven.
